Meet Our Family

Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.
(Hebrews 10:24)
.
We are a homeschooling family dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the world and encouraging Christians to turn their hearts toward their families. We hope to (someday) get our family singing group off the ground and start doing more concerts and possibly tours, but for now we're just taking it one step at a time, wherever God is leading us.
.
Our Family:
Joshua Lynn Peterson (over 35) has a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from University of Nebraska. He's also an accomplished trumpeter, bugler and pianist. He has been a soloist in Germany and was a featured soloist on the very first performance to be broadcast live over the Internet. He has directed music programs at a number of churches of various denominations, currently serving as part-time music director at Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, a position he shares with Nancy.  Josh also does Uncle Moustache Home Improvements, a construction and handyman company he began a few years ago.
.
Nancy Peterson (younger than Josh) is a wife, homemaker, and homeschool teacher. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance and has won organ competitions at regional and national levels. She currently serves as choir director for the Saint Clair County Christian Home Educators and part-time music director at Zion Lutheran Church along with Josh. As mother to this gang, she does a million other things besides. In particular, she enjoys children's literature, estimating that she has read over 36,000 books aloud since Sylvia was born.
