Florida Vacation, Day 1 (Home Church, Mini Golf, TeenPact Congress)

Sunday morning- all of us were up bright and early, of course! :D  (*cough, cough* ...No.)  Actually, by the time we were all up, it was almost 10:00!  We had "home church" at around 10:30, sang several hymns, and then had lunch. After lunch, we went mini golfing.

There was a very serious contest as to who could hang onto this rope the longest!

At around 12:30, the TeenPacters - Adam, John, Camryn, and Sylvia - and the two dads left for Congress in Tallahassee, Florida (about a 3 1/2 hour drive).  We were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of staffers and students, signed in, got settled in the dorms, and started meeting people!  As Sunday was mostly a day to get settled in, we did not go to the capitol... the only scheduled events were the evening session and worship, both held in the dining hall at the camp.

EDIT: I forgot; we did register for political parties that evening.  The two parties were Justice and Mercy- Justice ended up being the majority by a large margin.  We had caucus meetings as well, at which point we found out who the majority and minority leaders and whips in House and Senate were.

Day 2 posts to come...
