July 3: we went to the Phillips' house for the evening. It was raining and the power went out, but we still had a great time! :) Knut caught a 13" fish in their backyard pond! I left my camera at home, sadly.
July 4: We went to Shady Oaks and had dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Davis, had our own fireworks show at 8:30, then went to the city fireworks at 9:30.
July 5: Work day! Tearing out flooring in the kitchen, beginning to paint the great room, baking, and freezing zucchini from the garden. Cecily and Grandpa and Grandma Peterson returned at 6:30! They were a little surprised to see the kitchen flooring missing, the great room furniture shoved into the middle of the room, and ladders and frog tape put up. :) In the evening we went swimming!
July 6: Yet another work day! Scraping glue in the kitchen and painting the great room were the major jobs to be finished. I had a violin lesson, and Mom and Grandma went shopping. We went swimming for an hour before dinner and then again in the evening.
